J Roberson and Sons was established in 1981 when the company began thinning and clear felling in Brechfa Forest. Firewood sales were always an important part of the business until 2022 when we stopped taking on new customers. Today the small family business concentrates on selling an interesting range of timber which is all sourced locally from sustainably managed woodlands. We do not use a kiln to dry timber artificially. Recent orders have included timbers for renovating water wheels, seating outside Pembrokeshire Castle, bee hives, furniture, restoration of very old buildings and large ornamental gates

In addition we supply a wide selection of sawn timbers and cedar cladding as well as beam oak for building and restoration projects. Interesting jobs recently have also included supplying specially selected timber for a boat and pagoda repairs as well as fine crafting of a guitar.
